Superlusso Driving Gloves
Our NEW middle weight premium driving gloves. The Superlusso driving gloves are die cut and hand stitched with premium full aniline calf hides.
The middle weight, slightly thicker soft leather promotes grip on vintage steering wheels and also allows for those sunny Sunday rides on two wheels.
There is no snap closure on the 78 Superlusso and why you ask? Firstly a snap closure cannot be adjusted and there is nothing worse than a tight uncomfortable wrist strap 5 laps in. The super strong silicone velcro closure ensures a perfect fit that can be adjusted when the temperature rises.
The superlusso incorporates an elasticated rear cuff to maintain a good fit with stylish perforations in the right places. The traditional open cuff design remains but when was the last time your squeezed your watch in there?
I bought a size large in these gloves, and I have say the fit and quality of leather used is superb....I can only imagine these gloves getting better with age! Not only are the gloves fantastic quality, but the customer service from 78 was exceptional, I couldn't recommend them enough!
I received as a gift by my motorcycle friend for my Porsche 912. These are beautiful gloves, the leather quality and attentions to the detail. They also fit just perfectly and I think will last for many years. I will for sure buy another pair in black and will use with my Triumph. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Being lucky enough to have the majority of 78 MoCo motorcycle gloves I immediately came back to Anthony for a pair of his driving gloves now the chilly times have arrived again - and I am SO pleased I did !
They are just stunning in every way, just as good as the motorcycle gloves, and make me smile every time I put them on….

When the site launched I popped on to see what else Anthony had cooking and saw these gloves! I have been looking for 'just the right' pair of driving gloves for literally a decade and have been through glovebox loads of them (yes I actually have used my glovebox for gloves - and a map of Scotland in pristine condition in case I ever go there). After my infatuation with the Speeds and the Sprints for my bike riding I couldn't help myself and completed the family with a pair of Sprites. Predictably (for those who are familiar with the other gloves) they are amazing. They will bring out your inner Senna or just make you want to put some shades on and look damn cool. Buy them and you won't look back (mainly because it'll be a blur in the rear view mirror).
