The 2nd glove deign in our street series, the 78 ‘Sprint’ glove s designed for the urban Café Racer and classic lover. A glove that provides the toughness of a motorcycle glove with the style, feel and comfort of a high-end fashion glove. The Sprint is befitting of today’s modern vintage motorcyclist who demand gloves to compliment their unique individual style yet offer the quality, comfort and style 78 have become renowned for.
78 travelled to Scandinavia to source the finest natural aniline leathers. Hues inspired by vintage British cars from Dune yellow to Signal red each with their own unique patina and vintage feel. Every pair is cut and crafted by hand utilising the latest stitch techniques to ensure strength should the going get tough. Every pair designed to age and mature with its owner for a perfect personal fit.
The Sprint design consists of 15 CAD designed panels offering a 2nd skin like fit to ensure every aspect of road information is felt through the bars. Sprint features perforated fingers and upper panels to increase airflow yet is padded and lined with satin to keep riders rolling through until autumn. Fully articulated knuckles ensure minimal tension operating the levers and the double-layered padded stitched palm offers abrasion protection without removing feel. Our unique silicone buddy tabs are carried over from the Speed glove providing a simple way to keep your gloves together while offering further protection to the exposed scaphoid common on short glove designs.
The 78 Sprint combines timeless style and strength for the road ahead. A motorcycle glove you can drive in or wear out without fatigue unlike usual ‘bulky’ motorcycle gloves. Sprint gloves are CE approved.

These gloves are superb, beautiful leather with wonderful styling delivered on time and wrapped perfectly. These are my second pair of these gloves, my original pair are still in perfect condition I just fancied a different colour.
I now have two pairs of 78 MC gloves and the Havana Tan Sprint pair are my latest. They are beautifully made, extremely comfortable and stylish. You can tell right from the off, that they are of a superior quality and will be equally hard wearing. A great purchase.

Seen these in my local cool motorcycle emporium Union Road and tried on so got given a pair for my birthday in Chill Red matching the Ducati I ride now.
Having a couple of decades of sports bikes and bought all the usual "top" brands e.g.(Italian and Japanese) now I ride vintage and Flattracker styles I wanted stylish gear to suit. Well....as nice as those gloves were oh boy the 78 Sprints are a whole higher level above...Like Saville Row versus Marks and Spencer perhaps...soft, supple and thick but not clunky at all. The quality and finish is superb. Comfortable from day one and fit my hands straight away. Great ingenious feature is the little velcro tab to pop both together so not searching for a lost one after stopping for a brew on a ride somewhere!
So pleased that a couple of months later I bought a pair of Stingrays in Cappuccino brown. Anthony is a pleasure to deal with and a huge bike nut like the rest of us. Great to be able to support a small independent business and a British one at that too is the bonus.
