I first started riding motorcycles back in 1994, on a RG125 and then in 1996 I stopped. My riding gear then was pretty awful truth be told. Then I met my soon to be wife at University. Over 20 years passed and around 2015 as a 40+ Gen Xer I decided to start riding again. I had zero gear but had a passion for the classic and stumbled across the 78 Sprints. At the time I was an owner of a 1978 Corvette hillclimb/sprint car called ‘Lemmy’ (even my IG handle is @78_outlaw) and so fair to say the 78 ‘Sprint’ glove was a perfect match. My Sprints were there through my CBT, my Mod 1 and Mod 2 tests, when I went down after getting a cone stuck under my front tyre during a speed test, the glove’s palm held up, there riding in the Highlands of Scotland, the passes of the Lake District, up to Mt Tiede in Tenerife, Alicante hills, Italian and Swiss mountains, now 12 bikes later and they are still my go-to glove: cruisers, muscle bikes, classics and super nakeds, the leather has softened, the grain wears a few more scars (like the owner) but the gloves are perfect, with fantastic stitching, very comfortable and timeless, my ride or die!!
These gloves are superb, beautiful leather with wonderful styling delivered on time and wrapped perfectly. These are my second pair of these gloves, my original pair are still in perfect condition I just fancied a different colour.
I now have two pairs of 78 MC gloves and the Havana Tan Sprint pair are my latest. They are beautifully made, extremely comfortable and stylish. You can tell right from the off, that they are of a superior quality and will be equally hard wearing. A great purchase.
